Nobody tells you how much the journey to parenthood can ask of you.
The sleepless nights of trying to conceive. The appointments, the waiting, the hoping. The pregnancy that brought more anxiety than joy. The birth that didn't go the way you planned. The postpartum days that felt nothing like the pictures. The grief that showed up when you least expected it — and stayed longer than anyone said it would.
Whatever part of this journey you're in right now — you deserve support that actually understands it.
Nearly 1 in 8 people face fertility struggles or pregnancy loss (PSI), and nearly 12% of couples experience infertility (ACOG). You are not the exception. You are not alone. And what you're feeling makes complete sense given everything you're carrying.
At L.C.N. Wellness, we specialize in perinatal and postpartum mental health — and we approach it the way it deserves to be approached. With warmth. With cultural responsiveness. With clinical tools that actually work. Our integrative perinatal care combines trauma-informed therapy, perinatal coaching, Reiki healing, and mind-body wellness and nourishment support to meet you where you are — mind, body, and spirit.
We follow Postpartum Support International (PSI) best practices because your care should be rooted in both research and real human experience. There's no perfect guidebook for this. But you don't have to figure it out alone.

A Postpartum Support Group Where Real Talk Is Welcome
Postpartum is messy, beautiful, exhausting, and overwhelming — often all in the same hour. Mood Swings & Milk Stains™ is a virtual postpartum support group for new parents who are done pretending it’s all going smoothly.
This is a space to exhale. To say the things you’re afraid to say out loud. To be witnessed by people who actually get it — facilitated by Lenora Johnson, LCSW-S, a licensed clinical social worker who has been supporting perinatal mental health for over a decade.
No performance required. No perfect parenting stories. Just honest conversation, real coping tools, and a community that reminds you — you are doing better than you think.
The postpartum period can feel isolating. Community interrupts that. This group was built to remind you that you are not the only one feeling this way.
GROUP DETAILS
• Format: Virtual | Secure Telehealth

• Facilitated by: Lenora Johnson, LCSW-S
• Who it’s for: New parents navigating the postpartum experience
• Approach: Trauma-informed, culturally responsive, affirming

Black women in the United States are nearly three times more likely to die from pregnancy-related complications than white women. Indigenous women face similarly devastating rates. These disparities persist across income levels, education levels, and access to care, which means this is not a poverty issue or an access issue alone. It is a systemic issue. And it demands a clinical response.
At L.C.N. Wellness, we believe that perinatal mental health care is inseparable from maternal safety advocacy. We show up for our clients not just as therapists, but as advocates who understand the specific risks and systemic failures that people of color face throughout the perinatal journey.
We help you prepare to advocate for yourself in medical settings. We validate your instincts when something feels wrong. We help you find language for the moments when you are dismissed, minimized, or overlooked by providers who should be listening. And we stand with you in the spaces where the system has historically failed people who look like you.
Lenora Johnson, LCSW-S serves as a March for Babies Team Captain in Oregon and as an Alliance Representative for an Oregon perinatal support chapter — because changing maternal mortality rates requires showing up beyond the therapy room. L.C.N. Wellness follows Postpartum Support International (PSI) best practices and brings over a decade of perinatal mental health experience to every client relationship.
What does this look like in your care at L.C.N. Wellness?
• We take your symptoms seriously — including the ones you’ve been told to push through
• We help you build language to advocate for yourself with OBs, midwives, and hospital staff
• We support you in understanding your rights as a patient and a parent
• We recognize race-based medical trauma and treat it as the clinical condition it is
• We create space for the anger, grief, and fear that come with navigating a system that was not built with you in mind

Every stage of the perinatal journey deserves real support. Whether you are just beginning your fertility journey, newly postpartum, or somewhere in between, L.C.N. Wellness has a path forward for you.

Postpartum depression, postpartum anxiety, and postpartum PTSD are real clinical conditions — not character flaws. Our personalized postpartum therapy helps parents process birth trauma, regulate emotions, and find their footing after one of the most significant transitions of their lives.
Pregnancy loss, infertility, miscarriage, and the grief of parenting after loss deserve the same clinical care as any other form of grief — with the cultural sensitivity and trauma-informed approach these experiences require. You are allowed to grieve. We are here to hold that with you.
The transition to parenthood reshapes every relationship in the family. We offer telehealth sessions to support communication, strengthen family bonds, and provide caregivers with tools for sustainable, healthy caregiving — because supporting your family starts with supporting yourself.
Postpartum depression. Perinatal anxiety. Birth trauma. Infertility grief. These are not signs that you are failing. They are clinical conditions with real names, real treatments, and real paths forward.
You do not have to earn support. You do not have to wait until things get worse. Reaching out is not weakness — it is the first and most important step.
